Found in Sarawak and Kalimantan Borneo in upper montane mossy forests at elevations around 1200 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a branching rhizome giving rise to close set to .12 to .28" apart, set at an acute angle to the rhizome, oblong-wrinkled when dry pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 3 to 4, ovate-elliptic, acute, soon disintegrating cataphyls and carrying a single, apical, erect, linear, ligulate, acute, mucronate, rigid, thinly coriaceous, narrowing below into a narrow canaliculate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect to gently curving, peduncle 2.2 to 3.2" [5.5 to 8 cm] long, provided with none to one, acuminate bracts, rachis quadrangular, 3.6 to 6.6" [9.5 to 16.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with triangular-ovate, acute, often setaceous-mucronate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying cream colored flower flushed with green.
