Found in Sarawak Borneo in riparian forests at elevations around 530 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an abbreviated rhizome giving rise to crowded, fusiform pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic-ligulate, acute, 4 to 5 nerved, gradually attenuate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on an erect becoming pendulous, peduncle filiform, terete, 8.4" [21 cm] long, rachis quadrangular, 16.8" [42 cm] long, with 7 imbricate, obtuse, apiculate, sterile bracts, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with oblong-ovate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying pale green flowers with a reddish column.
Distinguished from other Bornean Dendrochilum by the papillate tepals and Auriculate stelida.
