Found in western Sumatra at elevations around 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a rather thin, pendulous, branched rhizome giving rise to cylindrical, 1.2" [3 cm] between each pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, apiculate, basally narrowing below into the short, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a slender, arising on developing pseudobulbs, peduncle to 1.6" [4 cm] long, basal sheath to .8" [2 cm] long, very fine, glabrous, rachis 6" [to 15 cm] long, overall much longer than the leaf, many flowered inflorescence.
