Common Name Gibb's Dendrochilum [Mrs Lilian Gibbs, original collector of species late 1800's early 1900's]

Found in Borneo in lower montane laurel forests at elevations of 870 to 3000 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with closely caespitose, rarely distant to 1" [2.5 cm] apart, cylindrical, narrowly oblong, ovoid-oblong to narrowly fusiform, smooth to slightly wrinkled, always green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, subacute to acute, thin textured, 5 to 7 main veined leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an ascending to gently curving, terete, 7.2" to 12" [18 to 30 cm] long, many flowered, subdense, racemose inflorescence and carrying flowers that smell strongly of cinnamon or oranges.
