Common Name The Globe Carrying Dendrochilum

Found in Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 700 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with crowded, globose, ovoid to oblong-ovoid , obtuse pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic, sometimes constricted below the apex, obtuse, thin textured, 5 nerved, sulcate and narrrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect then gently curving, peduncle filiform, 1.4 to 4" [3.5 to 10 cm] long, rachis quadrangular, .8 to 2" [2 to 5 cm] long, pale orange, laxly 8 to 20 flowered inflorescence with a solitary oblong-ovate acute bract and oblong-ovate acute, apiculate to obtuse, floral bracts carrying sweetly scented flowers.
