Found in Sarawak Borneo on in lowland and hill forests or on limestone rocks and cliffs at elevations of sealevel to 400 meters as a hot growing lithophyte or epiphyte with a branching, flexuous, smooth rhizome with crowded, approximate, cylindrical, terete to narrowly ovate, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, tough, coriaceous, shiny above mat beneath, 5 main nerved, narrowly elliptic to lanceolate-obovate, obtuse to subacute, attenuate below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later sumer and fall on an erect, peduncle terete, 5 to 11.2" [12.5 to 28 cm] long, rachis quadrangular, 4.2 to 6.4" [10.5 to 16 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with a solitary, ovate-elliptic, acuminate floral bract.
