Found in western Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 800 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a branched rhizome giving rise to crowded, oblong-ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-subspathulate, often broadest distally, equally shallowly retuse, rounded apically, 3 main nerved, sulcate, petilate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle filiform, [8.5 to 10 cm] long, rachis quadrangular, 2.4" [6 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflotescence, with an acute solitary to absenmt bract and oblong-ovate, broadly obtuse floral bracts and carrying greenish white flowers.
This species is distinctive among Borneese Dendrochium because of its leaves that are broadest at the apex and subspathulate.
