Found in western Sumatra in montane forests at elevations of 2200 to 2400 meters as a miniature to just small sized, cold growing epiphyte with thin, terete pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly lanceolate, thin, narrowing in the top third to an acute apex, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a thin, 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] peduncle, arising on a not developing pseudobulb with the leaves arising as the flowers open, rachis flattened, partly and sparsely hairy, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8.5 cm] long, laxly to about 26 flowered inflorescence carrying light green, darker in the center flowers
