Found in Sarawak and Kalimantan Borneo in lower and upper montane ridge forests at elevations of 1400 to 2400 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or occasional lithophte with .6 to 2.6" [1.5 to 6.5 cm between each, narrowly cylindrical, often at an acute angle to the rhizome, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic, thin, acute or shortly obtuse, somewhat conduplicate, often constricted below the apex, stiff, coriaceous, 5 to 9 nerved, pale brownish green to pale green, sulcate bellow into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring summer and fall on an erect, rigid, peduncle greenish brown to pinkish, .4 to 1.6" [1 to 4 cm] long, with a solitary to rarely 2, ovate, obtuse, adpressed bract, rachis quadrangular, 6.8 to 11.2" [17 to 28 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate to semi-orbicular, obtuse, erose, spreading floral bracts, carrying fragrant flowers.
