Common Name The Mt Talamau Dendrochilum

Found in west central Sumatra at elevations around 2050 to 2700 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphye 1/2" [1.2 cm] between each cylindrical, narrowing a bit toward the apex pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, distinctily narrowing below the apex, abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a 3" [7.5 cm] long peduncle, arising from scarsely developed pseudobulbs, rachis zig-zag, quadrangular, 2.88 to 6" [6.75 to 15 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence carrying large sized, light green to green flowers.
J J Smith thought that this species wqas close to D glossorhynchum but D talamauensis has larger flowers, broadly ovate floral bracts, an erose lip with a broader mod lobe.
