Found in the Bismarck Archipelago at elevations near sea level as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with shiny, yellow stems carrying many, deciduous, lanceolate, rigid leaves that blooms in the later spring on short, few flowered inflorescence carrying short lived flowers
