Found in the Marianas in filtered shade on trees or in full sun on dead trees and coral rocks at elevations below 100 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte or lithophyte with an erect, wiry, rigid, simple canes carrying many, oblong-lanceolate, unequally bilobed apically, distichous leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a short, between the leaves on leafy stems, sometimes on leafless stems, simultaneously 2 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant, ephemeral flowers.
