Common Name The Spear Shaped Lobe Dendrobium

Found in Borneo in hill and lower montane forests at elevations around 900 to 1700 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, basally swollen, flattened stems with pseudobulbs below that are elliptical and shiny, straw yellow pseudobulbs carrying several, linear-ligulate, attenuate towards the slightly obliquely-obtuse apex, thin-textured, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall on very short, successively single flowered inflorescence arising from clumps of chaff-like bracts on the side of the upper branches of leafless stems and carry very short lived, small flowers.
Can be confused with D cybulipes and D incurvocilatum but the lip in D lancilobum has a prominent lanceoalte, subfalcate, acute side lobes, two groups of hairs on the claw ad a tansversely oblong, truncate, sharply deflexed mid-lobe.
