Found in northern Sarawak Borneo in lower montane mossy ridge forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a swollen above the base and towards the apex, erect becoming pendent, branching, keiki producing, slender, wiry stem carrying many, rigid, linear, unequally bilobed apically, densely and prominently nerved leaves that blooms in the later spring on short, alternately from the nodes towards the apex of the leafless part of the younger leafy stem, fasciculate, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with chaffy, scarious, pale brown floral bracts and carrying thin textured flowers that are short lived.
