Common Name The Hose Mountain Dendrobium
Flower Size .4" [1 cm] long
Found in Sarawak Borneo in upper hill kerangas forests to lower montane mossy elfin forests at elevations of 800 to 1650 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with laterally compressed, leafy ste4ms carrying obliquely ovate to oblong-ovate, obtuse to subacute, laterally compressed, fleshy, rigid, equitant, shethed leaves that blooms on subterminal, from a group of fasciculate, chaffy bracts, successively single, few flowered inflorescence.
D montis-hosei is easily distinguished by the long clawed, ecallose, transversely flabbellate-reniform lip.
