Found in southern Sumatra without elevational data in montane forests as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, creeping, branching rhizome giving rise to close set, erect, concave on one side, convex on the other pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acute, apiculate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, peduncle flattened to 1.4 to 2.4" [3.5 to 6 cm] long, rachis quadrangular in cross-section, to 5.8" [14.5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with oblong-elliptic, yellow margin, incurving floral bracts carrying fragrant flowers
