Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to simple, glabrous, compressed, densely leafy stems carrying erect, glabrous, linear to linear-ligulate, obtuse, unequally bilobed apically, contracted below into the subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence carrying a non-resupinate flower.
Schlechter states that the flowers are yellowish pink, the lip is brown red towards the margin and the centerr and apex are yellow
