Found in Sarawak and Sabah, Borneo in lower to upper montane mossy and elfin forests at elevations of 1200 to 2600 meters as a just large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, laterally flattened, swollen in the lower third 2 to 3 nodes above the base, leafy towards the apex stems carrying many lanceolate to oblong lanceolate, bilobed apically and narrowed below, basally twisted and clasping leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on very short, single flowered inflorescence

I have the same photo as D singulare but all references have this as D ventripes
