Found in southern Cape Province South Africa in sandy areas in mountains at elevations of 750 to 1300 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with radical, hysteranthous, linear leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, 10 to 20" [25 to 50 cm] long, lax, few flowered inflorescence
