Found on Hispanola as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with crowded, narrowly conical, tranversely 2 to 4 ringed pseudobulbs carrying 3 apical, basally clasping, linear, acute leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, slender, terete, to 4' [to 120 cm] long, peduncle ending in a few branched, many flowered fractiflex rachis with many membraneous, narrowly triangular, acuminate floral bracts.
