Common Name The Very Purple Disa
Flower Size 2" [5 cm]
Found in southwestern Cape Province South Africa, in dry rocky or stony areas in full sun at elevations of sea-level to 300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terresrial blooming in the spring on an erect, terminal, to 20" [50 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence carrying very fragrant flowers
