Found only in Colombia at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect to ascending, simple, densely leafy stem envelopd completely by imbricating, leaf sheeath bases carrying patent, oblong, oblique to shortly acuminate to apiculate leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence with an ovate, acuminate bract
