Common Name or Meaning The Southern Dichaea

Flower Size

Found in Sao Paulo state in Brazil at elevations around 800 meters as a cool to warm growing epiphyte.

Similar to D bonplandiana but the D australis has clear green flowers, flat petal apices, a white lip with an entire margin and no horn-like projections on the column while D bonplandiana has yellow-greenish flowers, incurved and concave petal apices, a cream colored lip with a ciliate margin, and horn-like projections on the column.
