Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations of 200 to 770 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a pendent, simple to rarely basally branched stem enveloped almost completely by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying oblong-lanceolate, conduplicate, arcuate, acute, leaves that blooms in the summer in cultivation on an axillary, .6" [1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a broadly elliptic, cucullate, acuminate floral bracts.
