Found in Costa Rica at elevations of 740 to 1250 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphytewith an erect stem carrying distichous, basally clasping, elliptic-ovate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an axillary, very short, single flowered inflorescence holding the flower close to the stem and leaf axil.
This orchid requires deep shade and humid conditions
