Common Name The Muricata-like Dichaea

Flower Size 1.2" [2 cm]

Found in Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica at elevations around 1200 to 1850 meters as a small to medium sized, cool and pendant growing epiphyte with compressed stems completely enveloped by imbricating leaf bearing sheaths carrying distichous, alternate, slightly twisted, elliptic, acute to rounded leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, short, .48 to .6" [1.2 to 1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a muricate ovary and capsule.
