Common Name The Neglected Dichaea
Flower Size 1/4" [.8cm]
Found in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica at elevations around 1200 to 1800 meters as a miniature to medium sized, densely caespitose, cool growing epiphyte with a branching, compressed stem completely enveloped by leaf bearing, green spotted sheaths and each carrying distichous, alternate, ovate, acute, 3 veined on each side, articuated to the clasping sheaths that blooms in the fall on an axillary, short, .4 to .48" [1 to 1.2 cm] long, longer than the leaves, single flowered inflorescence with a finely muricate ovary
