Found in southeastern Ecuador, Peru and northern Brazil in tropical and montane wet forests at elevations around 300 to 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with erect to recumbent, simple to basally branched stems carrying spreading, soft, articulate to the imbricating sheaths, green, linear-ligulate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, short to .4" [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
