Found in French Guiana at elevations beblow 200 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with pendent, strongly compressed, leafy stem enveloped by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying basally subconduplicate, oblong-elliptic, persistent, micro-ciliate apically leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, .24 to .48" [6 to 12 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3, basal, lanceolate, acute bracts and white, membraneous, transluscent, circular, acuminate-acute floral bract and carrying a muricate ovary and capsule.
