Common Name The Recurved Didymoplexis [refers to the column with recurved apical arms bilobed at the tips]

Flower Size .56 to .64" [1.4 to 1.6 cm]

Found in northeastern Madagascar in evergreen montane forest on metamorphic rock at elevations around 985 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with a subterranean elongated blackish tuberous rhizome giving rise to very small, scale like leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, beige, brown to blackish, slender, 4" [10 cm] long overall, peduncle provided with a small, ovate, white colored bract, rachis terete, slender, laxly, successivevly single, few flowered inflorescence with ovate, acuminate, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying tepals that are pink or white.
