Found in New South Wales Australia in shrubby forests and woodlands at elevations of 400 to 900 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a leafless, green to reddish stem with overlapping basal bracts that blooms in the summer carrying 10 to 40 flowers
