Found New Guinea at elevations of 1500 to 2000 metrs as a large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with basally swollen, tapering towards the apex, 12" [30 cm] long, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-lanceoalte leaf that blooms in the late spring through summer on a swhort, successively 1 to 2, few flowered inflorescence.
