Found in New Guinea on tall trees in riverine forests at elevations around 180 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with an elongate rhizome giving rise to compressed, 4 angled pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong-ligulate, glabrous, coriaceous, subrigid leaf that blooms in the winter on a compresed, short, successively single flowered inflorescence
