Found in the Solomon Islands in primary montane rain forests at elevations around 370 to 500 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with swollen near the base , yellow green, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear, witha well defined mid rib, minutely and unequally bilobed apically, narrowing below into the clasping base leaf that blooms on a terminal, short, single flowered inflorescence with a linear-lanceolate floral bract and carrying lemon-yellow turning salmon pink with age flowers with darker lemon yellow apices, a yellow lip with purple dotd down the center and a purple marked column
