Common Name The Shining Neck Diplocaulobium [refers to the Bright glossy yellow pseduobulbous stems]

Found in Sulawesi and the Moluccas in lowland primary forests on trees overhanging rivers at elevations of sea level to 400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with crowded, erect, yellow, yellow green to olive green with basally swollen, soon deciduous, fusiform to narrowly ovoid-conical, with a gradually tapering necked pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear, oblong to ellitpic, obtuse and notched apically, green leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on 1 to 2, a short, single flowered inflorescence arising through a brown, elliptic, acute spathe and carrying very short lived flowers.
