This large sized, warm growing terrestrial, evergreen species is found in Queensland, Australia at elevations of 40 to 900 meters with an elongating, straggling and recumbent stem completely enveloped by alternate, linear, canaliculate, prominently veined leaves and blooms on an erect, 6 to 22" [15 to 55 cm] long, raceme with 1 to 4 flowers in the spring and early summer, likes bright light.
