Common Name Robert Yong's Dipodium [Bornean Orchid Enthusiast and collector of the type current]

Found in Sarawak Borneo in heath forests on the coastal flood plain at elevations around 20 meters as a large sized, hot growing terrestrial or climbing scandent herb with woody, erect, monopodial, leafy stems carrying tapering from the canaliculate base to the acute apex, 3 main ribbed leaves with overlapping, suberect, persistent leaf sheaths that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, shorter than the leaves, peduncle 4.4 to 6" [11 to 15 cm] long, rachis 1.2" [3 cm] long, to 5 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute floral bracts and carrying small, not opening well, immaculate, yellow-orange flowers.
