Common Name The Useful Diplocaulobium [refers to the fact that Islanders made wovewn objects from the stems of this species]
Flower Size 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm]
Found in Sulawesi and the Moluccas without locality as a large sized epiphyte with crowded shiny, yellow green basally swollen, terete and slighyl compressed above stems carrying a single, erect, shiny green, linear, dorsally carinate, obtuse and notched apcially leaf thta blooms arising through an oblong, dark yellow acuminate spathe, peduncle [2.7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence carrying an ephemeral flower that turns dark red with age.
