Common Name Begley's Disa [Original Collector of species 1800/early 1900's]

Found in southwestern Cape Province of South Africa on mountain peaks on bare stoney slopes at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing lithophyte with cauline, erect, imbricate, narrowly lanceolate leaves that blooms in the late spring andf early summer on an erect, 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] long, subcorymobose, dense, 5 to 15 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
