Found in Cape Province South Africa in stream habitats at elevations of 1800 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial blooming only after fires with 5, cauline, erefct, linear-lorate, finely acuminate leaves that blooms in the later spring on a terminal, erect, 2.8" [7 cm] long, to 15 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute as long as the flowers floral bracts
