Common Name The Long Leaved Disa

Flower Size .36" [9 mm]

Found in southwest Cape Province South Africa in damp areas at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying erect, linear, cauline leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, erect, usually dense, cylindric, to 16" [40 cm,] long, many flowered inflorescence with usually longer than the flowers floral bracts.
