Common Name The Bird-Like Flowered Disa
Flower Size 1.8" [4.5 cm]
Found in Zaire, Tanzania, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe in woodlands and wet montane grasslands at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a sterile shoot with 3 to 4 , erect, conduplicate, linear, acute leaves and a fertile shoot with cauline, imbricate, ovate to lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, 1.6 to 3.6" [4 to 9 cm] long, 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence.
