Found in southwestern Cape Province South Africa along streams and moss seepages on cliff-faces at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with radical, elliptical leaves and cauline leaves above to sheathing that blooms in the late spring on an erect, terminal, corymbose to subcorybose, to 12" [to 30 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence
