Common Name The Early Blooming Disa

Found in Malawi and Zimbabwe in short montane grasslands at elevations above 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with about 6 basal, semi-erect, subsclerophyllus leaves arising after flowering and a few, completely sheathing, acuminate cauline leaves that blooms in the early spring on an erect, 1.6 to 5.2" [4 to 13 cm] long, laxly 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acuminate floral bracts
