Found in southewestern and southern Cape Province South Africa usually in moist sand in full sun at elevations of sea level to 900 meters as a miniature to medium szied, cold growing terrestrial with linear-lanceoalte leaves that blooms in the late spring on a usually cylindrical, dense, several flowered inflorescence carrying strongly lime-scented flowers
