Common Name Verdick's Disa [Belgian Orchid Enthusiast later 1800's earlier 1900's]

Flower Size

Found in Zaire, Angola and Zambia in wet grasslands and open Uapaca woodlands on grassland verge at elevations around 1000 to 1400 meters as a medium sized, cool growing robust terrestrial with up to 12 sheathing leaves the lowest barred with red, that blooms in the late spring on an erect, fairly lax, 6 to 20 flowered inflorescence carrying bright pink flowers.
