Found in SW Cape Province, South Africa in fynbos at elevations of 60 to 480 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with 2 to 3 cauline, pubescent, alternate, ovate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, terminal, single flowered inflorescence..
The species in the photo is D bolusiana subsp macrocorys.
