Common Name The Mahajanga Disperis [a City on the western & nortwestern coast of Mdagascar]

Flower Size

Found in north & northwestern Madagascar in rocky lime forests within humus, not near the sea at elevations around sealevel to 200 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing terrestrial with 2 elongate tubers giving rise to a stem carrying in the middle 2 distant, oval-acute, dark green above, red beneath, cordate rounded basally, shortly petiolate, clasping base leaves that blooms in the earlier summer on an erect, 2" [5 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying violet colored flowers.
