Found insouthern and southeastern Cape Province South Africa in marshy restio-veld at elevations of 600 to 1800 meters as a slender, medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with 2 to 4 linear, erect leaves that blooms in the spring through early summer on an erect, terminal, to 16" [to 40 cm] long, laxly 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence
