Found in Cameroon, Malawi and Tanzania in wet brachystegia woodlands in leaf litter, in wet peat bogs, or open dry montane grasslands or in upland grasslands as a miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect. reddish brown stem carrying 2 to 3, scale-like, adpressed to the stem, reddish brown leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
